A Few Words About Us
My name is Ashley, and I have been gardening lawns for many years. Among other things, I have helped people remove bad weeds, maintain their lawns, improve their soil garden and teach them the best practices to have a beautiful, well-maintained lawn.
I can confidently say there is no lawn work that’s difficult to tackle. I have handled all kinds of situations.
Aerate Your Lawn
Lawns are one of the areas with the highest use in many houses, especially those with pets and kids. So, it means that with time, the soil beneath becomes compacted. But even your weekly mowing can make the soil compact. The problem with this is that it leads to poor air circulation, nutrient absorption, and water drainage. And it makes it hard for beneficial soil organisms like earthworms to thrive. If you want your grass to always be green, ensure you aerate regularly. Doing that allows better air circulation and allows grass to grow.
Getting Rid of Weeds
You don’t need bad weeds on your lawn. You can use a trowel to remove big weeds like dandelions. But when doing so, please ensure that you get the entire root out to prevent the plant from re-growing. You can also spray chemicals that will kill weeds without harming your grass.
Deeply Water Your Lawn
Turning your sprinkler on for a few minutes every week is not enough. If you need a healthy lawn, you need to ensure water reaches deep into the roots. Remember that the roots are the foundation of the grass. So when they are in perfect condition, you’ll have a beautiful lawn. Make sure you water your grass with 1 inch of water every week. However, that depends on your location, grass species, and soil type.
Other ideas include composting waste from the garden, lawn weed control, and using natural fertilizers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via email.
